Clay Christmas Ornaments

These great Clay Christmas Ornaments are a wonderful way for the kids to dress up the Christmas tree with thier own unique ornament, also a great gift idea for someone special!

To make these ornaments you will need some craft clay. Click here to find our Easy Craft Clay recipe.

Level of Difficulty: Moderate

Here's what you'll need...

•Craft Clay
•Paint (acrylic craft paint is best)
•Brush
•Ribbon or yarn
•Christmas cookie cutters
•Pen or pencil

Here's how you make them...

1. Roll your craft clay out to about 1/4" thick (the same thickness as when you make sugar cookies).

2. Using your cookie cutters, cut various shaped ornaments. Using a spatula lift your ornaments and place onto a cookie sheet (this will prevent 'finger marks' on your ornaments). Don't forget to punch a hole in the top of your ornament using a pen or pencil!

3. Leave for 24 hours to dry, if you can, turn over the ornaments after 12 hours to let the bottoms dry quicker.

4. Now you're ready to paint your very own, unique ornament. Personalize it for a gift by writing a special message for a loved one!
