Design A Shield

Every Knight needs to Design A Shield! With all that armor it was hard to tell who was who, so Knights used a shield with symbols and words that would distinguish themselves from others. Suitable for preschoolers on up!

Ages: 3 and Up

Here's what you'll need...

Shield Template*
• Tin foil
• Construction paper
• Glue
• Marker or pen
• Scissors
• Magazines, stickers, markers and any other embellishments for your shield

Here's how you make it...

1. Print and cut out the shield template. Place it on a piece of tin foil and trace around it. Cut out your shield and glue it onto a piece of construction paper.

2. Have the children pick out images that represent them. These could be pictures from magazines, stickers, photos, etc. Glue them onto the shield.
